Quail Hunting

Federwild offers the "wild bird" experience as you never know what the next covey rise will present.  Enjoy the pointers, setters, and German shorthairs as they hunt the next covey for your sporting pleasure.  Our energetic and enthusiastic English cockers and Labrador retrievers will flush, retrieve and entertain you during your hunt.

mourning Dove Hunting

• September 1-16, 2022

• October 13-31, 2022

• November 22, 2022 - January 15, 2023

• 15 birds per hunt, 45 in possession

The ever - elusive mourning dove provides hunters with multiple challenges.  The first is to locate where they are gathering to feed that day.  The next challenge is placing your shot so they fly through your pattern as they maneuver like an F22 Raptor Fighter Jet.  The third is finding the birds where they fall.  The fourth is selecting one of the many recipes for preparing these delicious little game birds.

Georgia Migrating Birds Stamp and Georgia hunting license required, see www.georgiawildlife.com.  Federwild staff will clean your picked up doves and pack them on ice in soft coolers.

Pheasant Hunts, European style

• November 1, 2022 - February 28, 2023

• 16 hunters minimum (mixed groups allowed, call for availability), 10 birds per hunter released

• $30.00 per extra pheasant released

• Total number of birds harvested will be divided between 16 hunters

• Pheasants will be cleaned and packed in iced soft coolers

Take your stand and prepare for the pass shooting challenge of bringing down the high flying and speedy pheasants.  You will need a modified or full choke 12 gauge shotgun with high brass 6 shot to get these big birds on the ground.  Every hunter will have an opportunity to hunt at each of the 16 stands.  Hunters will need to be physically able to walk about 600 yards.

• Full day with lunch. -  $850.00

Pheasant hunts, upland style

• october 1, 2022 - February 28, 2023

• 8 birds per hunter for full day hunt, 4 birds per hunter for half day hunt, cleaned and packed on ice in soft coolers

The pheasant upland style hunt allows all four hunters to simultaneously drive the feed strips with the dogs and guide.  This experience will remind you of hunting the mid-west.  Plenty of exercise during this hunt as you walk 2,000 yards to chase these birds.

Hungarian Partridge Hunts, Upland style

• November 1, 2022 - march 17, 2023

• 4 hunters minimum, pricing is not prorated or reduced for smaller groups

• 12 birds for Full day / 6 birds for half day cleaned and frozen per hunter, packed in iced soft coolers

This mid sized Hungarian partridge offers the speed of a smaller bird in a slightly larger package.  The experience will remind you of hunting in Europe or the Mid-West.  All four hunters will simultaneously walk with the guide and dogs in feed strips.  The hunter will need to be physically able to walk about 2,500 yards.

Eastern wild turkey

• march, 2023 - May 2023, exact dates to be determined when available

• 2 hunter minimum - you will be 2 of 4 hunters

• Limit 1 bird per person

• federwild will clean your turkey and pack it on ice in soft coolers

• Georgia Hunting License, Big Game License, and Harvest Record required.

The turkey is the largest of all game birds at Federwild.  You and your guest will dress in full camo, including your face, to conceal your location.  The guide calls to the gobbler, drawing him to the decoys in front of you.  As you remain perfectly still, the gobbler struts his way towards you until the guide says "take him."  It is then up to you and your shooting skills to bag the bird.

Fishing or billiards are available to complete your day at no additional cost.
